Description
This letter is from W. Kenneth Haddock, Chief of the Education Branch of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW), to President George M. Modlin concerning the University's compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which states that all institutions of higher learning that receive Federal financial assistance must comply with a nondiscrimination policy. Dr. Haddock is attempting to organize a visit to the school to discuss "minority group enrollment" and to meet with the staff responsible for admitting students. He asks for three days to conduct the visit.
