Title
Article "Committee recommends two black sororities"
Subject
Description
Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta were the two Historically Black Sororities chosen by the Committee on Sororities to colonize at the University of Richmond. Once a proposal was written asking for the colonization of Historically Black Sororities, the Committee on Sororities began an examination of the campus and process. Once all decisions were made, the final recommendation of which sororities would colonize were approved and formal invitations to the national sororities were sent out. The Director of Minority Student Affairs, Tina Cade, states that the rush process will be organized as quickly as possible and that “these organizations [will be] established by the end of the semester."
