The Web
Attention to two African-American females described as cooks

Description

The page features a photo montage of women participating in leisure activities, a skeleton, a baby, and two black women on the bottom far right and left who served a domestic role at the University. Under the photo of the woman on the far left the caption reads, "A friend when in need of breakfast." On the far right the caption under the other photo of the black woman reads, "Minnie the cook." The women were valued for their domestic service to the University, as the captions under each photo suggest.
