Description

This article summarizes the events of the forum that was hosted by the Student Social Life Committee Many undergraduate students voiced their opinions in favor of bringing sororities to campus. There was heavy debate on the issue of alcohol within Greek Life as the age limit to purchase and consume alcohol had been increased nationwide. Board of Trustee members, administrators, faculty, and students who were sitting on the committee and addressing each student concern truly felt the weight of the matter as “almost 300 students...packed the Dry Dock.” Although many of the concerns that were discussed at the forum were the, “same things that student members of the committee have been saying all along,” the “numbers behind the words,” gives many student leaders hope for the future of the campus.
