An account of the resource
This opinion piece, written in 1992 by Megan Fitzmorris, warns her fellow college students of the dangers that unprotected sex during the AIDS crisis. She blames alcohol for causing students to make poor decisions in regards to their sexual health. She also points out that there is a certain mindset among college students that "we think we're invincible." This causes college students to think it has to be others that are not clean, and allows them to have unprotected sex without thinking of the consequences. Fitmorris says the deaths of millions may be the only way that teenagers wake up to the importance of safe sexual practices.
