This article discusses a panel discussion featuring students of 8 different religions--Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Protestant, Catholic, Sikh, Jewish and secular. Students shared their perspectives--for example, Sikh student Gurpreet Singh Dillon talked about how his goal was to "see a common humanity," while Catholic Nicole Cavadini mentioned that "prayer is a very important part of [her] life." All 8 panelists spoke on topics important to their religion. The event was organized by new interreligious community and justice coordinator Jen Landis-Santos, who said that the purpose of the panel was "to make people approachable."
