                <text>This article describes a guest speaker, Virginia Hackney, who was a T.C. Williams Law School graduate and chairman of the Business Law Committee of the Virginia Association. Hackney spoke at the "Focus '82" program, a conference "oriented towards women's and community interests" which was sponsored by the University of Richmond's Faculty Wives Club. Hackney was the president of the Richmond Women's Bar Association, and in the article describes the challenges of women who were not allowed to attend American Bar Association law schools until 1972. Hackney is quoted as saying that women "have a long way to go to establish their own place" in the world of law. Hackney observes that women fear femininity limiting their careers in law, but this "may not always be the best way."</text>
