In her time as a student, Gill was on the 1928 Sophomore Women play committee, the 1929 vice president of the Debaters club, and the Assistant Editor of the 1929 Messenger. Gill was also author of the story "Tea-Shop Reminiscences", which discusses the traditional Chinese Tea-Room. This article announced both the May Queen court celebration and the Indian Pageant that was to follow. Description An account of the resource This article describes the steps that the University of Richmond took in order to bring sororities to Westhampton College. After the faculty committee voted to “recommend the institution of sororities at the University,” the social life committee reviewed the recommendation and forwarded it to the student affairs committee of the Board of Trustees. Once the Board of Trustees approved the recommendation, Alison Bartel, assistant director of Student Activities, took over the organization of Greek Life on campus and contacted the National Panhellenic Council. A committee was set up in order to review the presentations by each of the (26) national sororities and to vote on which ones were best fit for the University of Richmond.
