In it, it states that fraternities as "an institution...have backing financially and morally." It claims the power and influence of the fraternities has waned from when they had complete control over social functions and when "to be non-fraternity was to be in the minority." The first black fraternity would not be considered until 1980-81, effectively leaving control of social events to the majority culture. No Asian or Latinx fraternities exist of 2017. It ends by stating what a Greek is to the writer of the piece.</text>
