Lawrence Burnette, Fletcher Stiers, Andrew Sullivan, Reynolds Rackett, Charles Wainman, Thomas Fletcher, O.J. Graham, and Lincoln Baxter were placed in their various offices. The meeting also included an amendment to the society's constitution. Previously, there had been a motion that banned the group's discussion about the "racial problem." Now, the President may interrupt and discontinue any conversation that does not further the agenda of the meeting. Additionally, the results of the inter-society debate were discussed. The question had been in regards to the abolition of segregated public transportation, and S.C. Mitchell Literary club forfeited two of the four debates because, despite the members of the group generally agree that such segregation should not be abolished, they could not provide a team that would argue for that point.</text>

Rogers was a Junior who had grown up in Korea and traveled much of the "Orient" with his father, a Presbyterian medical missionary. He argued that Japan has spent years preparing to dominate China because its industrial practices require commerce with China. Elsie Vernon Satterwhite argued that the United States could not oppose Japan's actions, and that if Japan did take China, it would be a beneficial for both China and the United States.</text>

The council has been formed with Apprentice School, Medical School (white and black nursing students distinguished), Richmond College YMCA, YWCA at Richmond Professional Institute, Union Theological Seminary, Virginia Union University, and Westhampton College. It is a council formed with both "white and colored races." Their goal is to "foster closer communication between colleges" and emphasizes Richmond's "special emphasis upon the race problem" and finding a "happy solution." The R.I.C.C. promised the hosting of future forums and discussions, and a weekly Thursday meeting hosted at the various participating colleges.</text>

In it, the author explains the ways President Boatwright spoke out against Nazism, saying it "disrupts the racial and religious issues of nations." The focus then shifts to an emphasis on obligations of religious colleges to teach their students what types of humans to be, to have teachers who set an example of Christianity, and who do well in whatever they attempt. The article did not reference any comments President Boatwright may have made about the disruption of the nation's racial issues, but he did explain that the government should not have control over education, and that the new world would focus on being Christian.</text>

Boatwrights correspondences, is a public apology given to the university community for the recent racist manner in which Mr. Russell Jones had been treated. When Mr. Jones had visited, on invitation, to give a lecture, he was denied entry into the dining hall on the basis of his race. The students, in a document published in the Collegian entitled "We the Students," protested against the act. This document was the Board of Trustees' apology, in which they acknowledged the hypocrisy an bigotry of the event, and explain that, through such actions, their claims for Christian acts of brotherhood are invalidated. They pledge to implore the rest of the administration to do away with the policy, and disclaim any further responsibility for racist actions that may result.</text>
