Description An account of the resource This 1993 Collegian article discusses the creation of Common Ground, an organization on campus for LGBTQ+ students to discuss what being gay is like at the University of Richmond. The Lambda Coalition, another support group for LGBTQ+ students not only wishes for LGBTQ+ students to join but also allies. Meanwhile Common Ground is only open to those who are queer or questioning. The meeting times are kept secret, off campus, and there is a screening process to get into the club. The mindset behind this is to protect students from the stigmas and stereotypes that are seen on campus.
