<text>According to this <em>University of Richmond Collegian</em> article, the Board of Trustees has passed a Westhampton Senate proposal allowing men to eat at the court dining hall during dinner hours. The court dining hall was the all-female dining hall intended for Westhampton College students. The proposal, explained by Amanda Debusk, resulted partly from a student survey which found 237 students wanted a change and only 38 preferred the present condition. Additionally, the Senate report states that the concept of “separate dining facilities” as stated in the Coordinate Education Report has not been realized because the court dining hall, designated for women, is available on a limited basis only. This has resulted in the loss of a “sense of college” by some students. Many students also believe Richmond College is “in violation of the present system as interpreted by University officials,” since the amendment states that the enforcement of this rule at only one college is “not generally accepted by Westhampton students.”</text>

He claims that the unkempt dress of Richmond students does not honor the prestige of the University, nor the fact that the University of Richmond is one of 33 American Colleges to house an ROTC unit. Instead of wearing jackets and ties similar to other university requirements, Richmond students wear clothes “that might probably force one to comment ‘shades of Tobacco Road’ or some other unflattering remark.” The phrase "Tobacco Road" refers to any impoverished rural area, particularly in the South.</text>

The Chairman of this committee is Mr. William J. Rhodes. This document details the various complaints and suggestions from the student representatives on behalf of the student body regarding the food and service in the Refectory. The problem of keeping students who live off campus from eating in the Refectory was also discussed, along with the possibility of only admitting students who have meal tickets. The Servomation management reported over 1200 glasses have been lost, which can hurt the food budget.</text>
