Article "Night Classes of University Admit Negroes"
Dublin Core
Title
Article "Night Classes of University Admit Negroes"
Subject
Description
This Collegian article was meant to inform students of the integration of University College night classes sponsored by the American Institute of Banking. The article further stated that there was no intention of further integration into any other courses at University College, a facility opened two years earlier as a junior college in downtown Richmond. The Baptist Student Union had urged the Board of Trustees towards integration, asking that all qualified black students be judged on the same scale as people of any other race.
