Article "Heilman Chides Baptists"
Dublin Core
Title
Article "Heilman Chides Baptists"
Subject
Description
This Collegian article discussed President Heilman's speech at the Virginia Baptist General Association. The speech was in response to the association's decision to permit churches to stop the funding of University of Richmond due to its recent liberalization concerning alcohol. Dr. Heilman urged the association to consider reversing the churches' disassociation from the university and to try rectifying the university's policies if it deems them wrong. Richmond College Dean Baker said on this issue that since United States society was becoming more liberal, it was only befitting that our university followed in its footsteps.
