This illustration represents the Glee Club, featuring three men in blackface wearing tuxedos and large bow-ties. The man in the center appears to be directing the other two figures, one of whom is holding an instrument. According to the Richmond Collegian, The Glee Club was also referred to as "The Glee Club Minstrels". The men in this photo have darkened skin with white lips and white lines on their faces, reiterating the role of blackface as a performance.
