Letter from Benjamin Berofsky to George M. Modlin
Dublin Core
Title
Letter from Benjamin Berofsky to George M. Modlin
Subject
Description
This document is a handwritten letter that was sent on March 24, 1967, from Benjamin Berofsky to President George M. Modlin in response to Modlin’s letter regarding faculty hiring practices at the University of Richmond. According to Berofsky, Dr. Erb, the Music Director at the university, is not "indifferent" about who he hires since he is embarrassed about "this whole business." Berofsky wrote, "Apparently, his [Dr. Erb’s] lack of seniority, despite being ‘Music Director,’ forced him into accepting an established point of view he did not relish."
