Title
Article "Clash Expected on V.A. Rules"
Description
This article is about the clash between the Veterans Administration and the nation’s colleges and universities because of the new rules set forth by the Veteran Administration which are supposed to be part of a revised GI Bill previously passed by Congress. Education representatives plan to ask Congress for provisions when Congress reconvenes in January. The Director of the National Association of Veterans Programs Administrators. Cecil C. Byrd II, says the previous legislation in place needed to be fixed. James A. Gilbert, associate dean of admissions at Castleton State College in Vermont thinks the new legislation goes against federal law. The new rules go into effect on December 1st.
