Dublin Core
Title
Memo from William H. Leftwich to E. Bruce Heilman
Subject
Description
This October 31, 1980 memorandum is from University of Richmond Vice President for Student Affairs William H. Leftwich to University of Richmond President Dr. E. Bruce Heilman. In the memo, Leftwich describes the October 30, 1980, visit of Raymond Hatcher, from the Office of Civil Rights (OCR), accompanied by University counsel, Eva Tashjian-Brown. Tashjian-Brown reported to Leftwich that Hatcher was "most pleased" by the University's structural changes during this follow-up audit. Leftwich writes that that he expects a letter and summary from Hatcher in the near future, and that "it is safe to say that the OCR file on the University of Richmond will be closed at least for some period of time." The memo was copied to Mr. Louis W. Moelchert, Mr. Ron Hicks, Dr. Clifton Poole, Dean Thomas A. Edmonds, Dean John Gordon, and Ms. Joanne C. Patton, in an expression of thanks for the accomplishments of the University's affirmative action plans.
