Description
This October 16, 1980 memorandum is from University of Richmond Vice President for Student Affairs William H. Leftwich to University of Richmond President Dr. E. Bruce Heilman. The memo prefaces and praises a letter from the University's legal counsel of McGuire, Woods & Battle to Dewey Dodds of the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights. Heilman closes the memo by stating, "This is the best way to deal with them", referring to the Office for Civil Rights.
