Letter from Thomas N. Pollard, Jr. to C.J. Gray
Dublin Core
Title
Letter from Thomas N. Pollard, Jr. to C.J. Gray
Subject
Description
This is a letter to Dr. C.J. Gray, Dean of Administrative Services of the University of Richmond, from Thomas N. Pollard, Jr., Director of Admissions for the University of Richmond, writing to inform him of a letter that Pollard sent out to 38 black students and one white student who participated in the College Entrance Examination Board - The Ford Foundation Project Access during the 1969-70 session. Pollard describes the letter as “part of a project to open doors of higher education to students in minority - poverty areas”. He suggests that Gray make a note of the outreach for future reference of the University’s concern, and attaches a sample letter that was sent out to the students. There is a notation that reads "Exhibit 3" in the top right corner of the letter.
