Title
Article "Court Date Postponed"
Subject
Description
This article describes Professor Kathleen F. Slevin's "pleas for a temporary injunction to extend" her teaching contract. Slevin had been hired by Dr. Bruce Heilman for the 1975-1976 academic year at the University of Richmond as a tenure track sociology professor. Slevin was denied her request for tenure by the Board of Trustees. The article describes her legal battle, and explains that the Circuit Court Division I judges, James E. Sheffield and W.I. Walker, disqualified themselves from the case. As a result, Slevin's lawsuit against University of Richmond's "alleged breach of contract" was postponed.
