Title
Article "Desegregation Push at VCU Called 'Busywork'"
Subject
Description
In this article, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) President Warren W. Brandt accuses federal civil rights officials of making busy work in their push for more desegregation. According to Dr. Brandt, "VCU has fully complied with federal edicts and enforcement officials." However, the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW) does not agree, because VCU has not provided these changes in writing. They also do not believe that VCU has complied with them to the level that they are claiming.
