Letter from George M. Modlin to B. Frank Jones
Dublin Core
Title
Letter from George M. Modlin to B. Frank Jones
Subject
Description
President George Modlin was writing Coach Frank Jones about recruiting "Negro" athletes. Modlin told Jones that every effort should be made to recruit "Negro" athletes in order to help them with athletic grants-in-aid and to attract other "negro" students, and that he must keep a record of students he has contacted. Modlin asked Jones to discuss this with Lewis Mills, but to also urge him and other coaches involved in recruiting to keep the matter confidential so that there was no publicity surrounding it.
