Title
The Web 1949 "Westhampton College Prom Class of '49"
Description
This collage of photographs of the Westhampton College Prom (now called Ring Dance) in 1949 seems to portray the theme of "cowboys and Indians" as evidenced by the background. The photo on the top right and the two photos at the bottom of the page depict "Indians" in traditional clothing that seem to be playing instruments and dancing as well as Indian teepees. The middle photograph features a background of a building that says "trading post" with a cowboy in front of it. During this time, it was common for Ring Dance to be themed, and the theme often involved the depiction of a different culture as there seems to have been a Japanese theme for the 1960 Ring Dance.
