The Web 1970 "Frat Cheer Increase in '69 Pledge Return"

Title
The Web 1970 "Frat Cheer Increase in '69 Pledge Return"
Description
On the second page of this spread, a black man performs on stage at the SGA (Student Government Association) Fall Concert in front of a seemingly all-white crowd. The caption reads: "Flaming Cynthia Wornom moves to the sound of the Showmen at the SGA Fall Concert." While the main campus of the University had been integrated in 1968, the University had a long tradition of inviting black entertainers to perform far before the University began integrating courses in 1964.
