A Group of Japanese Hokkus
Dublin Core
Title
A Group of Japanese Hokkus
The Messenger 1922-1923
Description
This poem, "New Moon," was written by members of the university's Writing Club in attempts to resemble Japanese poetry in hokku, or haiku, form. The stanzas describe a scene that is perhaps set Japan, and a caption at the top that explains the intent was to write in the style of Japanese hokku in order to portray "one definite image" through several lines.
