Chinese Club
Dublin Core
Title
Chinese Club
The Web 1923
Description
This page includes a picture of the university's Chinese Club, showing eight Asian members (7 male and 1 female), with a list of their names underneath the photograph. The Chinese Club included all students that had traveled from China to get an education at the University of Richmond. The Chinese students were an important aspect of the school's diversity, and the Chinese students integrated themselves with their American peers to the best of their ability. While they were accepted as a different culture, they were still subject to racist stereotypes and discriminatory language as shown on different pages throughout the yearbook.
