Editorial "MSU's name change misdirected"
Dublin Core
Title
Editorial "MSU's name change misdirected"
Subject
Description
This editorial was written by contributing editor Scott Shepard to object the name change of the Minority Student Union to the the Multicultural Student Union. Shepard uses this name change to lambast minority student groups, particularly those for black students. He quotes Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in order to admonish minority students for creating separate student groups. Then he claims that men are a minority, and that white Anglo-Saxon men are numerically a minority. He does not reflect on the majority of students groups, particularly Greek organizations, being majority white men.
