The Web 1979 The Campus
Dublin Core
Title
The Web 1979 The Campus
Description
In an article describing the university campus, the Web states, "Safely tucked away amid the stately brick houses and rolling lawns of the Country Club, our 350 acre campus creates a sanctuary from the evil world around us. We are insulated from the Bus Terminals, used car lots, and white towers of the inner city." The language used seems coded to describe UR as safe from the poverty, and arguably, black population of the "inner city." It is noteworthy, however that there is a picture of a black man directly above the article.
