Title
Memo from E. Bruce Heilman to Dr. Henry Stewart
Description
This memo from former president of the University, E. Bruce Heilman, talks about the benefits of Black Studies courses. In it, Heilman references a story that ran in a recent copy of Advocate magazine detailing the "fine story on the black community in urban America and the University of Richmond." He goes on to discuss the benefits of "education by exposure" and details how offering the Black Studies course would improve students' education.
