Title

Editorial "Sister, Can You Spare a Lodge?"

Description

This satirical article is written by a Westhampton student who ironically argues for the reasons why sororities should be brought to the University of Richmond, namely, for the benefit of the males. The writer creates a mock scenario at a party and describes a play by play situation where a male student is intoxicated and unsuccessfully attempts to speak to a girl who he’s interested in. The tone of the article is sarcastic as the writer states that “a sororities rush would be ideal for the guys.” The prominent disgust directed towards those in charge of deciding the fate of sororities is displayed in the article as the writer concludes that, “looking at things through this new angle might change their minds."
