Title

Editorial "Committee on student social life to open forum"

Description

This editorial describes the forum that will be hosted by the Student Social Life Committee in order to address any and all student concerns regarding the social life on campus. The committee is working to analyze and report on the social life on campus, especially the social life surrounding fraternities and sororities. The four subcommittees that will stem from the larger committee is 1. Fraternities, 2. The Sorority Proposal, 3. Alcohol Policy, and 4. Non-Greek Social Life. The largest subcommittee will be for Non-Greek Social Life solely because committee members will, “look at student organizations, USU, concerts, intramural sports and cultural opportunities on campus.” In addition to analyzing the University of Richmond, committee members will be, “surveying peer institutions to find out how they have responded to many of these same issues.” The forum that the committee is hosting is an opportunity for students on campus to voice personal opinions, questions, and concerns.
