This Collegian article discusses a University of Richmond planned auction to raise tuition money for Miss Irene Ebhomielen, a Nigerian student. Ebhomielen's first year's tuition was paid by the Westhampton International student fund. The Westhampton YWCA sponsored this auction, which included dinners at faculty homes, horseback rides, dinner certificates for restaurants in Richmond, theatre ticket discounts among the items available. The auction was to be held on the Westhampton College green.
