Letter to the Editor "Baptist Association"
Dublin Core
Title
Letter to the Editor "Baptist Association"
Subject
Description
University of Richmond student, John B. Hesch, writes a letter to the Editors of the Collegian to explain his stance on the new two part policy adopted by The Baptist General Association of Virginia. This policy requires all Baptist related academic institutions to describe the purpose of the institution as influenced through Christian theology and also requires all the faculty hired to be of Christian faith as well. Hosch disagrees with the policy as he believes that discriminating against individuals who are non-Christian is an extremely un-Christian like act. He encourages University of Richmond administrators to defy the policy while encouraging students and faculty to uphold their integrity and intellectual freedom.
