Title
Article "Lambda Coalition Fights Stigma"
Subject
Description
This article describes the Lambda Coalition and the purpose of the organization to create a space for the LGBTQ community on the University of Richmond campus. Members of the organization share testaments of how the coalition works to raise “awareness on issues of sexuality” throughout the campus and greater Richmond community. The Lambda Coalition joins hands with many other organizations around the community including the Virginia Commonwealth University’s sexual support group, the Sexual Minority Student Alliance, the Richmond Organization of Sexual Minority Youth, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The goal of the organization on the university’s campus is to “stop being such a taboo,” and to become an organization that individuals don't shy away from.
