Letter to the Editor "From a Woman in the 21st Dark Ages"
Dublin Core
Title
Letter to the Editor "From a Woman in the 21st Dark Ages"
Subject
Description
This letter to the editor is written by a Westhampton College student, Katherine Sanford, in response to an anti-abortion article that was published in The Collegian. Sanford describes her feelings of outrage and anger over the article that was “terrifyingly anti-female.” She shares that she is a survivor of abuse and when confessing this to the authorities, states that no one believed her. She further relays her distress by stating that she is “a slave to (her) womb.” The article is concluded with a reference to a similar response written by Carson Feld that states that “everyone has a right to speech,” but “everyone should also have a right to choice.”
