Dublin Core
Title
Article "Spanish Play to Highlight The 'Woman'"
Subject
Description
A Collegian article announcing the Westhampton College Spanish Club's play in Keller Hall at 7:30 p.m. Along with Pan-American Week, the Spanish Club's play was a way to emphasize Spanish affairs among the student body. The 1962 production focused on the Spanish "Woman." Fourteen short selections were presented as a tableau series. All the works were by Spanish or Latin-American authors and conducted completely in Spanish. The articles notes that "a few Latin-Americans have been included because of their concernw ith Spain and their relative freedom from New World influence." All Spanish classes were part of the production, although not all students taking Spanish were in it. A photograph of Karen Curtis and Linda Holt in rehearsal accompanies the article.
