This Collegian article announces the forthcoming crowning of Miss Pan America in Kelleer Hall. This event was the highlight of Pan American week at the University. Activities were conducted by El Picaro, the Westhampton Spanish Club, in conjunction with the North and South American States Pan American Union. Esther De Calvo, from the Pan American Union, spoke that night on "Women of the Americas" to symbolize the unity between American countries under the theme of "Peace, Security, and Cooperation." The Spanish club sang Cuban and Mexican folk songs, including "Paraiso del Caribe," "La Cucaracha," and "Cielito Lindo." Refreshments were to be served, with awards presented by Mrs. G. Edmund Massie III, president of the Westhampton College Alumnae Association.
