Title
Column "Mina's Arena: UR Languages Termed Weak"
Subject
Description
This University of Richmond opinion piece, written by student Abdullah Mina, criticizes the University’s lack of commitment to teaching and speaking foreign languages. More specifically, Mina commends the attention given to language at Westhampton College, praising them for speaking foreign languages in the dining hall and promoting language labs. However, he believes that the language program at Westhampton College is much better than at Richmond College. He states that in his two foreign language courses (besides English), he was not taught pronunciation.
