Article "Central Dining Hall Proposed, Debated"
Dublin Core
Title
Article "Central Dining Hall Proposed, Debated"
Description
This University of Richmond Collegian article discusses recent proposals to either renovate the Westhampton dining hall and the Richmond College Refectory, or “to construct one centralized dining hall to accommodate both schools.” Although a majority of the Committee on Food Service Facilities supports a centrally located dining hall, Beth Powell, Westhampton College Government Association president, fears that it could lead to the loss of Westhampton identity. Ron Inlow, director of Food and Auxiliary Services, says that the centralized dining hall would yield lower operating cost than two, and could result in a unified food service. The committee is expected to meet again on April 16, and a final decision will be reached sometime in May.
