Title
Article "University Players scare in Modlin haunted house"
Subject
Description
An article by Katie Branca in The Collegian announces University Players’ first annual haunted house in Cousins Studio Theatre, led by sophomores Alex Turner and Mary Clohan. The theme was insane asylum, largely due to the fact that it could be executed with a tight budget, particularly its costumes. The biggest challenge according to Turner and Clohan was making sure that their layout and materials, including the corridors made of black curtains, met fire safety standards. $350 of University Players’ own money was spent on the project, but with a $3 admission price, Turner hopes that the haunted house will fund itself in the future. Plans for next year’s haunted house are already under way.
