Dublin Core
Title
Letter to the Editor "Loudmouths, Directories Under Attack"
Subject
Description
This letter to the editor discussed how racial slurs were used against Davidson College athletes during a basketball game at the University of Richmond. The student author of this piece, Ed Pruden, expressed disappointment in his fellow classmates that yelled "nigger" and "spook" at the black athletes on the opposing team. He went onto explain that students could not complain about their administration if they themselves are still plagued by racism. He ended his commentary by expressing embarrassment in his peers who yelled the slurs and called upon the student body to acknowledge that someday the University of Richmond would have black athletes as well.
