Editorial "White Image Must Go"
Dublin Core
Title
Editorial "White Image Must Go"
Subject
Description
A Collegian editorial expressing views on the racial diversity of the faculty and student body at the University of Richmond. The editorial called for a more racially diverse community, but the university claimed that it did not discriminate in hiring and admissions. However, at this time, the US Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) intervened at the university, suggesting way President Modlin and the university could improve diversity. With this intervention, the hope was that the university would integrate its activities and, therefore, "enhance the University's scope."
