This article reports the outcomes of a debate on Monday, April 12, 1944, held between 4 teams--2 from the Philologian Literary Society, 2 from the S.C. Mitchell Literary Society, with one negative and one affirming team each. They debated on if racial segregation in "public carriers" should be banned. It was reported that neither of the negative teams could present logical arguments or lend compelling evidence, presentation, or rebuttals to the debate. The winners were Harry Mears and Bill Gresham.
